AAAARRGH!
Yoshi came home today at about 11am - sent back for ANOTHER week. First the entire school was closed for a week, then he got flu along with most of the boys in his class. Just his class closed that time, (but that was OK because he was sick anyway!) and then today most of the girls are sick so his class are under house arrest yet again. They are supposed to be having tests early next month but what on earth are they going to find to test the kids on???
Scream.
I don't teach on Mondays but I have had six phone calls today with either sick kids or kids whose classes closed today who won't be able to come to English classes this week. It's madness.

Ugh, I feel your frustration.
I didn't comment on your previous post, but have been meaning to, so I will now ...
Don't beat yourself up too much about falling off the wagon. I know you'll get back on track. I, too, have lost my focus for the past month or so, but today is Day One of being good again ... and so far so good :). Hopefully many days of eating well will follow (for both of us, hehe) :). Good luck and take care ... xo.
I was all ready to write a poor you post when your new banner caught my eye- stunning!
I hope this week flies past for both of you!
また、学級閉鎖になったの??なかなか終わらないね…。うちは、とりあえず大丈夫みたい。今週末、パーティーが無事出来るといいんだけど。
What a bummer! : (
Dang that stinks!!! Maybe after this wave it will be finally over.
Yikes...that is bad.
I guess the only good thing is that your work is kids too and it is at home...so you aren't trying to rush off somewhere else and worrying about him at home....
But all the cancelled classes must be eating into the bank account in a big way - small businesses really suffer from sudden drops.
This flu is going round and round...
I'm thinking there can't be that many kids left in Yoshi's class who HAVEN'T had it by now! It really is rife here - 109 kids in one elementary school last week confirmed with the flu, that kind of number.
So far I am not suffering financially because my school policy is that if the student cancels, they pay. So if those kids get sick or are forbidden to go out by the school, it's not my decision and they must go on paying me. If I cancel a class I have to either pay back time or money. I knew this was going to happen in the summer, so everyone got an extra two hours of lessons during the summer holidays. Unfortuntately the Wednesday classes have used all those up already and there's a lot of the flu season left to run.... So I stand to lose cash on those classes very soon. So long as people don't quit then I'll probably be alright. We have some kids who have missed three weeks now - two quarantine periods then they got it for real, etc. I am wondering if those parents are going to start complaining but it is not my fault!!
yikes....I taught English as a private tutor for two years here on Saipan so I know how you feel....at times it was a nightmare-I really wish you well...!! I love your new banner by the way!!
