Guess What? Ecorin Mura Again!

This time we went to meet up with some AFWJ members for a picnic, which was great fun.On the way to the play area, we saw this little bird who was not a bit shy. Can anyone identify him?
He was singing his heart out.
There is an ON switch for summer in Japan. It got pressed last week and the temperatures went from the mid teens to 30C overnight. Yoshi wasn't sulking, he was just zombified from the heat!
We found some shade in a shelter at the small farm, and the kids settled down to do some drawing with the materials provided while they cooled off.
Harry, Taiga and Rei. Seiju was the cameraman on Saturday and he never took any pictures of the grownups. Oops! Rei is very friendly and will chat to anyone. He's so cute - I've got a real soft spot for him.
Taiga is a tank disguised as a human! He's really talking well now though and he's a gentle soul even though he never stops moving!

Harry in the Tiger garden.
Amina just turned one. She is SO CUTE. Of the 50 or so pictures Seiju took, about 30 of them were of her!
After lunch in the park, a good play and a little look round, everyone went home, and we rushed into action. Seiju only came back for Saturday so he'd spent the morning getting his car and bike sorted out.

His bike's shaken (compulsory check and insurance) is about to run out, so I followed him in the car to Sapporo so he could leave it at the bike shop. The trouble was that the battery was completely dead despite days of charging, so it was a bit touch and go as to whether it would get there. I had to keep pulling over while Seiju encouraged it to get going again! We made it safely, dumped off the bike and then whizzed into the city centre so Harry could go to the craft shop as we'd promised him weeks ago.

He bought lots of packs of Fimo polymer clay and then we walked about looking for a ramen shop to eat in, before Seiju dropped us off near the station and drove off back to work. We got the train and then walked home, arriving about 10:30pm so after the early start it was a long day.

Wow, you know how to squeeze the last drop out of a day!

Great pictures and you all look really relaxed and happy. Happy Summer Hokkaido!
