Garden Work, 2nd June

I am REALLY pleased with what I've achieved in the past two and a half hours. It's by no means finished but I suddenly have a clear picture of what needs to be done in the veggie patch! Before
I hadn't touched this since the last time I posted, a couple of weeks ago.
After
Mostly this side of the line has been dug over and weeded thoroughly. Those mini irises at the very bottom of the picture are monstrously hard to get out. I don't like them very much, they only flower for about a week and they spread like crazy. I shall leave a little clump in one corner but most of that still has to come out. The in-the-way oriental poppy is at the bottom left of the picture.
Looking from the other end. I have trodden down a line where I want the path to be, and I've planted two lettuce seedlings given to me by a friend on the left side, and on the right, just near the veggie box (that I think I might take out...) there are two little rhubarb plants that I found by chance in our local farmer's market. I am not sure if they will be happy there but I shall try!

I think I'll be able to go shopping for seedlings this weekend at last! It's JUNE already!

Nice work! And a great way to channel your energies after all that cr*p at school. Good coming out of bad! Maybe Yoshi could join in with you!
