Gardening, 30th May
I haven't touched this bit of the garden yet this season, and it shows! This is the last untouched bit, though.
From the top left, clockwise: honeysuckle with a white clematis wound into it. This is a real mess as it's going up a horrible clump of sticks and bean poles that the previous person put in. I need to cut it ALL down to the ground and re-train it up and along the fence. I think I'll do the chop next autumn. Next is a large double pink and white tree mallow. It's beautiful. There are two baby mallows (not sure if they are the same because neither has ever flowered yet), a white/yellow azalea and a hascup that doesn't make much fruit. In the middle right next to the shed is a hyssop plant, two heathers, the last-blooming tulip and some finished yellow primulas that need splitting. In the middle are some alpine things including a gentian, a big chrysanthemum, day lilies (just coming into bud) and an unidentified biggish thing (that's scientific!)
